Julie Lam

Fine Art ceramicist Julie has exhibited her work all over the world and regularly at the Mall Galleries, London. She has been a licentiate member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, founded by William Morris. Her medium has been porcelain ever since she graduated with her BA (Hons) in 2001. Over the last 4 years she has concentrated her efforts exclusively into Lam Lighting, developing a unique slip that makes our light possible. She is an advocate for pottery skills and keeping traditional craft alive.

Hannah Thompson

Image maker, photographer and brand developer, Hannah has a eight year working history in lighting. Her delicate and sensitive sense of style must be attributed at least in part being raised in a home rooted in creativity, born to parents that are both celebrated artists. She honed her skills during her BA (Hons) at the University for the Creative Arts in Epsom and now brings her design sensibilities to Lam Lighting..

David Lam

Over the last 22 years, designer David Lam has developed and shaped some of the countries leading lighting companies, managing the brands and developing their identities. “After working with other lighting designers for so long I realised that I wanted to do it differently. I’m the son of a ceramicist and now married to a ceramicist, with our combined experience we are so happy to bring to market what we believe is something unique, eco-sensitive and beautiful”.
